Dress Hire

Our Agreement


By placing a booking with Colour You Beautiful through our website, social media pages, or in-store, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you (the renter) and Colour You Beautiful and should be read before placing your booking.


Ownership of Rental Items

All garments and accessories hired through Colour You Beautiful remain the property of Colour You Beautiful at all times.

Identification

Due to the value of our hire collection, Colour You Beautiful may request valid identification such as a driver’s licence or passport before completing a booking.

If requested identification is not provided, Colour You Beautiful reserves the right to decline the booking.

Payment Information

By completing a hire booking, you authorise Colour You Beautiful to securely retain your payment details for the duration of the hire period.

Payment details will only be used where applicable for authorised charges relating to your booking, including late fees, damage, loss, or replacement costs.

Payment details will be removed once the garment has been returned, inspected, and all outstanding fees have been finalised.

Hiring to Minors

Customers under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian review and agree to these Terms & Conditions prior to hiring.

Cleaning

All garments are professionally cleaned after each hire.

We understand that accidents can happen, and normal wear associated with wearing a garment is expected. If the garment can be professionally cleaned and returned to our collection, no additional fees will apply.

Please do not attempt to clean, wash, treat, repair, or alter any hire item yourself or have it cleaned by another person or company.

Any cleaning attempt that causes further damage or makes stains permanent may result in charges of up to 120% of the garment’s recommended retail price.

Please note: fake tan, body makeup, oils, and similar products can cause staining even after professional cleaning. Damage charges may apply at the discretion of Colour You Beautiful.

Damage, Loss & Alterations

Our hire collection includes both new and previously loved garments. While all items are inspected before each hire, some garments may show minor signs of previous wear.

Customers are expected to treat all items with care. Any permanent alterations, temporary alterations, repairs, or modifications are strictly prohibited.

If an item is damaged, please do not attempt to repair it yourself. Contact Colour You Beautiful as soon as possible.

Minor repairs that can be completed in-house may not incur an additional charge. However, if an item cannot be restored to a suitable condition, the renter may be responsible for repair, replacement, or loss of income costs.

Charges may be up to 120% of the original RRP of the garment depending on the circumstances.

If an item is lost, stolen, or not returned, the renter may be charged up to 200% of the garment’s original RRP.

Fit, Style & Appearance

We encourage customers to contact us before booking if they have questions regarding sizing, colour, style, or suitability.

As customers have the opportunity to visit our store, ask questions, and receive assistance, Colour You Beautiful cannot accept responsibility if a chosen item does not fit, suit the customer, or meet personal expectations.

For this reason, hire refunds cannot be provided due to incorrect sizing or a change of mind.

Dress hire collections and returns are available during our standard business hours only.

Please check our current opening hours before booking to ensure you are able to collect and return your garment within the required timeframe.

Shipping

Shipping is completed through Australia Post.

Shipping includes:

- Delivery to the customer

- A prepaid return satchel

While we aim for delivery within the required timeframe, postage delays outside of Colour You Beautiful’s control may occur.

Customers are responsible for selecting suitable booking dates to allow adequate delivery time.

Rental Period

Your hire period includes both the collection date and return date.

Please consider this when selecting your booking dates.

Late Returns

Items must be returned by the agreed return date.

A grace period may be provided at the discretion of Colour You Beautiful depending on future bookings and the impact of the late return.

If a late return impacts another customer’s booking, late fees may apply at 50% of the original hire fee per day.

Late fees may continue to apply until the item is returned in suitable condition or until charges reach the replacement value limit of up to 200% of the garment’s original RRP.

By placing a booking with Colour You Beautiful, you authorise any applicable late return fees to be charged using the original payment method provided for the booking.

Cancellations

We understand that plans can change; however, due to the nature of our hire business, cancellations can impact the availability of garments for other customers.

Once a booking has been placed, the selected garment is reserved exclusively for your booking period and may no longer be available for another customer to hire.

Full Refunds

A full refund will only be provided when:

- Cancellation occurs within 24 hours of placing the booking (unless the item has already been dispatched or prepared for delivery)

- Cancellation occurs more than 14 days prior to the booking date


Store Credit

If cancellation occurs between 3–14 days prior to the booking date, Colour You Beautiful may provide store credit to the value of the hire fee at our discretion.


No Refund or Store Credit

Cancellations made less than 3 days prior to the booking date will not be eligible for a refund or store credit, as the garment has been reserved and may no longer be available for another customer to hire.


We understand unexpected circumstances can occur. In exceptional situations, Colour You Beautiful may consider alternative arrangements at our discretion.

Store credit:

- Cannot be exchanged for cash

- Must be used within the timeframe provided

- May only be used for the applicable collection where specified

Return of Hire Items

Hire items must be returned in the original packaging provided where possible.

Customers are responsible for ensuring items are safely packaged and protected during return.

Lost packaging may incur a replacement fee.

Promotions

Any Instagram promotion, tagging, or discount offered by Colour You Beautiful is limited to one promotion per hire order unless otherwise stated.

Cancellations by Colour You Beautiful

Where possible, Colour You Beautiful will make every effort to fulfil confirmed bookings.

However, in rare circumstances, Colour You Beautiful may need to cancel a booking due to circumstances outside of our control, including previous customer damage, loss, theft, or significant postage delays.

In this event, compensation will be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the booking and postage.

Colour You Beautiful will not be responsible for any additional costs or losses incurred as a result of a cancellation.

Limitation of Liability

Colour You Beautiful is not responsible for indirect losses resulting from cancellations, delivery delays, postage delays, or circumstances outside of our control.


Our liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the booking.

CYB Basics

Returns & Exchanges

At Colour You Beautiful, we want you to love your CYB Basics pieces. Due to the nature of boutique clothing, we do not offer refunds for change of mind.

Approved returns will be issued as store credit only.

To be eligible for a return:


- Items must be returned within 7 days of purchase

- A valid receipt or proof of purchase must be provided

- Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition

- All original tags must remain attached

Returns are assessed by the Colour You Beautiful team before store credit is issued.


Store credit:

- Is valid for 60 days from the date of issue

- Cannot be exchanged for cash

- Can only be used towards CYB Basics collection items

- Cannot be used to purchase gift cards

Items purchased using store credit are final sale and cannot be returned for further store credit.

Sale Items

Sale items are final sale unless the item is faulty.


Faulty or Defective Items

If you believe your item is faulty or defective, please contact Colour You Beautiful within 7 days of receiving or purchasing the item.

Where an item is confirmed to have a manufacturing fault, we will offer an appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement, repair, or store credit in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Colour You Beautiful is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect care, washing, alterations, or general wear and tear.

Online Purchases

For approved online returns, customers are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

Items must be returned in the same condition as received.
